極寒です。
寒いだけならまだいいけど、嵐のような凄い強風だったので今日は撮影中止。
少しゲレンデで滑ってきました。
やっぱり山は寒すぎて、雪の結晶が刺さりまくり板も走らず。。。
かき氷を食べ過ぎたみたいに頭が痛かったな〜。
凍傷になるのも怖いし、撮影行かなくて正解だったかも。（苦笑）
日本に1ヶ月行っていたユタカも合流！
もうすぐトモも戻ってきます。
さて、これから後半戦。
張り切っていきましょ〜！

3年ぶりにカナダに戻って来たフウタ！
今年はさらに気合い入っているみたいですよ。
まずは足慣らしにゲレンデへ。
雪も積もっていい感じですね！
Futa came back to Canada for the first time in three years!
He is really focused this year!
For warm-ups, he went to the mountain.
The snow is nice!

ここ何日かはハイクハイクハイク！
朝は早くから歩いて登って（迷って？）ポイントを探しまわっていました。
お陰で体力はつくし、モービルのガソリン代は少なく財布にやさしい！（笑）
疲れるけど、思っても見なかった発見があると嬉しいです。
いい撮影が出来るとなおさらいいですね。
毎朝早くなので、みんなそろそろクタクタです。
天気が少し崩れてきそうなので明日やったらちょっと休憩かも。
ガンバレ太陽！ガンバレ身体！（笑）
We hiked up again and again these days!
From the early morning, we hiked up (got lost?) and explored a new shooting point.
Thanks to that, I build up stamina and could save gas money for my sled!
I feel tired but when I find something beyond my expectations, I feel happy.
I feel better when we capture nice footage.
But everyday we woke up early, so everyone is getting really tired by now…
The weather looks like it’ll get bad soon, so we maybe we will take some time off the day after next.

先週、カナダに来たばかりのフウタ。
滑りの調子も上がって来ていい感じですが、ハプニングもいい感じに魅せつけてくれています。
この前は衝撃的すぎて焦ったな。。。（苦笑）
いや〜、、、撮れてないのが悔しい！
さすがっす。フータン♪
Futa just came back to Canada last week.
His riding condition has improved but his accidents are also increasing…
One of his great and shocking accidents made me surprised…
I wish I could have captured it! Too bad!

どか雪です。
雪が一気に降り積もってハイクや滑るのも大変な事もあるけど、雨が降らなくて嬉しいですね。
今週末からは冷え込む予報。
この雪が長く生きていますように！
We had very heavy snow.
It piled up all at once so hiking up or even snowboarding was harder sometimes.
But it’s nice not to have rain.
The weather forecast said it’s going to be colder from the weekend.
Hope this snow remains for a long time!

一週間降っていなくてカチカチでしたが、昨日今日でいい感じに雪が積もりました！
待ちに待ったパウダーと週末だけあってゲレンデはめちゃくちゃ混んでます。

バンクーバーで学校に通いながら滑っているジョナサン。
（先日のMASTERS OF SNOWBOARDINGで準優勝）
上手いし、飛びも大きいし、一緒に滑っていると面白いです。
フウタも大きなゲレンデをピョンピョン楽しそうに滑っていましたね〜。
さっそくのウケるハプニングで途中退場だったけど。（笑）
明日は久しぶりのモービル。
いいパウダー撮れたらいいな〜！
Snow hasn’t fallen for a week and it was hard but we have snow yesterday and it piled up nicely.
The mountain was packed with people who were waiting for the powder snow plus it was a weekend.

Jonathan goes to a school in Vancouver. He got 2nd place at the “MASTERS OF SNOWBOARDING”.
He has great skill and jumps big so it’s fun to snowboard with him.
Futa also jumped and rode super happy.
He went home early because of a funny accident 😀
We will go sledding tomorrow.

ウィスラーへ戻ってきました~！
あっという間の一週間。
ハプニングも無く、ちょっと拍子抜けするくらい順調なトリップでした。
L→R / Keiji , Uta , Julie , Adam , Rachel
いろんな人との出会いもあったし、違う場所で、いろんなものを見れ、経験できて本当によかったです。やっぱり旅はいいですね。
気さくなナイスガイのルーカスとザビエル。
それにしてもザビエルの板さばきはさすがな感じでしたね。
大きな斜面になるほど実力の差が出てくると思う。
次の大会でユウタらしい滑りを見るのが楽しみですね。
そしてウィスラーにはフウタも合流！
日本で1ヶ月間、バフバフパウダー堪能してきたみたい。うらやまし〜〜！
いろいろとあって予定より遅くなってしまったようだけど やる気は十分。
がっちりといい映像残してくれるはず（ハプニングも？？）なので楽しみですね。
ウィスラーもこれからいい感じに雪が降ってきそうですよ〜！
Back to Whistler!2011.02.12
We came back to Whistler!
The week went by surprisingly.
It was a smooth trip without any accidents. Too simple.

We met many people in the States and I got to see many things going to a different place.
This is the reason I like road trips!

Nice guys – Lucas and Xavier.
Well, anyway, Xavier’s technique of managing his board was great.
I think a bigger slope would show a great difference of one’s skill.
I can’t wait to see Yuta’s riding at the next contest.
AND! Futa came back to Whistler too!
He enjoyed powder in Japan for a month! Lucky guy!
He was busy for this and that, so he came back here late, but he is ready for it!
I expect a lot as for his many kick-ass footages (and accidents?)!
It looks like there will be good snowy days in Whistler!
MOS Day4.Updated : 2011.02.10
天気はアメリカに来てから初めての青空！
しかし雪は風に飛ばされていたのか相当カチカチです。
カッチンコッチンの方があっているかも? 苦笑
FREERIDE WORLD TOURのポイントにもなっているのでXavier De Le Rueなど強豪ヨーロッパ勢も参戦。ライダーも斜面の難易度もかなりレベルの高かったです。
ファイナルは１本勝負！
しかし予選をいい感じに抜けたユウタは転倒。。。！
転んだら点数はほぼ出ないので、結果としては４１位。
いや〜、、、残念です、、
応援してもらったみなさんありがとうございます。
本人もかなり燃えているので、来月の大会でまたいい滑りを魅せてもらいたいですね！

MOS Day4.2011.02.10
It was the first sunny day in the States!
But due to the winds, snow was really hard… Uh-oh.
The contest was one stop of the FREERIDE WORLD TOUR, so many European best riders in the world joined to the contest. The contest site was a really rough slope too, so that also increased the level higher.
The final was a one-game-match!
Unfortunately, Yuta fell!!
If a rider falls, he can hardly get a score…
Yuta’s result was 41st place.
Well…it’s really too bad.
Thank you to all the supporters!
Yuta is now aiming for next month’s contest! So please keep an eye on him!
